TURKEY – The Lazismu Service Office (KL) of PCIM Turkey has implemented the “QurbanMu” program in collaboration with a local Turkish NGO, Beyaz Köprü. On June 16–17, 2024, this collaborative program was agreed upon by the head of Lazismu Turkey Office, Tri Julia Wulandari, together with Hasım Karataş, representing the Turkish NGO. The partnership covers the slaughtering, distribution, and delivery of qurban meat to one of the African countries, Chad.
This annual Lazismu Turkey program successfully gathered qurban donations equivalent to one full collective cow (7/7 shares) and two partial collective cows (2/7 shares). Most of the qurban donors were Indonesian citizens residing in various regions of Turkey.
In addition, QurbanMu Lazismu Turkey also introduced the “Sedekah Qurban” (Qurban Charity) program. This initiative is designed for those who may not yet be able to perform qurban but still wish to contribute. The donations are distributed to those in need.
It is hoped that this year’s QurbanMu will bring a breath of fresh air and inspire more acts of kindness among people. Lazismu’s presence in Turkey has long played a vital role in addressing the needs of Indonesians, particularly in managing zakat and qurban distributions. Moving forward, these continuous efforts are expected to reach even wider audiences and benefit all communities across Turkey.
